2018 Classes for Youth (Ages 10 and up) 

 

 

Does your child like to draw? Are you frustrated by your own lack of knowledge in art? Then let Rhonda Egan help. She is now offering classes at the Sacramento Fine Art Center in Carmichael for children ages 10 and up. Every child can learn to draw with the proper instruction. Award winning artist, Rhonda Egan, emphasizes the basic elements of drawing in all her classes, encouraging her students to grow beyond their current level.  Materials not included. Students are welcome to join anytime. 

 

Basic Drawing/Painting (Grades 5-12)

Oil Painting Classes for Adults

 

Learn how to paint with an expert in a relaxed atmosphere. Beginners will start with the basics of mixing color, application of paint and learning to see and interpret their chosen subject matter. Stu-dents, who have more experience, can work more independently, obtaining helpful suggestions along the way. Students will be taught how to paint with a palette knife, avoiding the need of toxic mediums and messy clean-up. Brushes are allowed but no turpentine, please. Materials not included.

Plein Air Class:   Taking the Fear Out of Painting in Plein Air

Where:  William B Pond Park (Along the American River Parkway, Sacramento, CA12th
Time: 8:30 to 11:30                          Dates:      June 2 and 3

Price:  $80 for 2 mornings or $45 per class 

 

Rhonda Egan will be demonstrating in oil, painting with a palette knife. Clean up is easier, which is a benefit while traveling. Using the palette knife also helps to keep the painting fresh and unmuddied. Plein air painting forces the artist to simplify and get to the essence. With changing light, the artist must make quick decisions to capture the moment. It is exhilarating, demanding and will help you move to a new level in your painting.

In this workshop, you will learn to:

 

Cancellation Policty: No refund or credit will be issued for cancellations occurring within the final week prior to and after the starting date of a course. Classes are not transferable between students. To be able to make-up a class please, contact the instructor to discuss.
